According to Isaac, the first ritual in ADF format was held on Samhain of 1983 in Berkeley California. The organizational structure on which they settled was based loosely on that formed by the Reformed Druids of North America. Isaac had been ordained a priest by that group in 1969, and was familiar with its structure.
