Winterstar 2002
Trip Report
Festival Dates - 2/28/02 to 3/3/02

This festival is held in a ski lodge in Dellroy, OH. It's in the southern part of Ohio and in the 7 years I've been going there, I've never seen anyone skiing. The weather this year was nice as usual. It was in the mid-40's during the day and upper 30's at night.

The theme of the event was Community and all the workshops revolved around it. Some of the presenters were: Halim El-Dabh, Stephen and Ina May Gaskin, Harvey Wasserman, Rev. Ian Stang, Chas Smith, Marty Laubach, Todd Allen, Charlene Suggs, Jeff Rosenbaum, and our own Ian Corrigan and Vice Archdruid Sue Parker.

The workshops were very informative and well attended. The main Saturday night ritual was led by Sue Parker and Ian Corrigan with help from members of Stone Creed Grove, ADF and was done in an ADF format. It was very well done and there were many good comments on it afterwards.

I passed out ADF information handouts all weekend and this festival also gave me the chance to talk with Mother Grove members, Guild Chiefs, solitaire and grove members and Sean Miller, our web master.

I traveled a total of 854 miles to attend this festival.

I’ve included some pictures that I took at the festival below.
