The History of the Oghams |

Objective: By the end of this class, you should be able to translate an inscription written in ogham into English. At the basic level, you can use a ‘cheat-sheet’ to help but over time; you should be able to read it directly. If that inscription is in Old Irish, you should be able to have an idea of what it means in English, from looking up either online or written sources, or know where to find out more about it. The final exam is based in part on translating Old Irish words into English and translating words written in ogham into English. This class also includes homework assignments that must be turned in before taking the final exam. The fee for this course is $20. |
