Modron's Gate Festival
Held Recreation Plantation near Dripping Springs, TX
10/4/01 to 10/7/01

While in Texas, I attended the Modron's gate festival. Llygedyn Tuath, located in Round Rock, puts on this festival. This is a great group of people and I hope to see this tribe become an ADF grove in the near future. This year is the first year that they have put on a festival, but with the location and some advertising, I know that this festival will be growing in the future.

The site is a wonderful campground with Texas longhorn cattle roaming around. There is a stream, coming from the dripping springs that the town is named after, that has been dammed to form a nice pond to swim in. Although there are many small fish in it and they may be "bum sharks!" There is also an above ground pool to use if you'd rather not swim with the fish. The site has full hook-ups for RV's as well as many acres of tent sites.

During the festival, I led the opening and closing rituals and presented my workshop titled "Getting in touch with your Land." And I sold $116.75 worth of regalia at this festival.

Clicking on any of the pictures below will bring up a large (640 X 480) version of the picture.
